Environmental & Sustainability Manager

As a Sustainability Manager, You Will Be Accountable For
-
Development and implementation of the Sustainability Strategy for business.
-
Driving the development and implementation of the Sustainability Management System, including review and continual improvement of the relevant templates, tools and knowledge documents such as Sustainability Management Plans
-
Reporting on sustainability outcomes against objectives and targets for the business
-
Development and contribution to the Corporate reporting, i.e. Annual Sustainability Report
-
Communicating Lessons Learnt/Case Studies and other knowledge capture activities
-
Develop leaning and development for sustainability topics across the business.

Project management of all aspects of your projects, ensuring they are delivered to high quality and on budget/in time.

Drawing on relevant knowledge and technical expertise to deliver quality services to clients.

Supporting business development through accessing networks to promote the work of Think Impact or develop new products or services.
-
Contribution to business management through taking responsibility for an area of ‘on-the-business’ development that assists in improving quality, productivity, efficiency, learning or influence.
Our Minimum Requirements For This Role Are
-
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
-
Ideally, 10+ years' experience in the Construction Industry and 10+ years experience in management systems and 5 years’ experience in managing teams (infrastructure and construction)

Ideally Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional with Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia
-
Ideally Qualified Green Star Accredited Professional with Green Building Council of Australia
-
Experience with global green certification schemes desirable (LEED, BREEAM, WELL)
-
Significant technical expertise in sustainability management for tenders, design and site-based construction issues
-
Strong knowledge of client sustainability requirements covering Victoria
-
Proven capacity to build stakeholder relationships and influence at all levels
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Rail Systems & Signalling Engineers - All levels
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Promote and ensure the appropriate standards of health, safety and environmental management are adhered to.
-
Prepare schedules for preliminary and detailed designs of signalling systems that comply with statutory and regulatory requirements;
-
Develop systems and procedures to ensure signalling projects comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, company policies and conditions set out in project scopes of works.
-
Manage Signalling Engineering teams on specific projects.
-
Develop individual and team competence to ensure engineering staff are appropriately trained and competent to carry out their roles both efficiently and safely.
-
Supervise preparation of documentation for standards and specifications in relation to signalling systems.
-
Provide high level technical support for all signalling projects as required.
-
Act as independent checker verifying signalling designs and application data prepared by others.
-
Report on signalling projects as required.
-
Work closely with Engineering Staff, the PMO and Project Management;
-
Maintain and foster relationships with current and potential stakeholders, in particular, clients, service providers, contractors, subcontractors and employees.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
-
Degree qualified in Engineering or Equivalent.
-
Substantial local experience working as a Senior or Principal signalling engineer.
-
Rail Provider certificate/statement of competencies.
-
MTM Accreditation.
-
ARTC Accreditation.
-
Expert user of Microsoft Office in particular Word, Excel and MS Projects.
-
Cert IV of Frontline Management or equivalent.
-
Must have maintained up to date work experience log book.
Preferred
-
IRSE Accreditation.
-
Knowledge of Computer Based Interlocking (CBI) systems.
-
Be able to conduct factory acceptance testing and/or principles testing of CBI systems.
-
Knowledge of grade crossing predictors and other level crossing technologies.
